Course aims

There are many exciting careers in the fast-growing travel and tourism industry, whether in holiday resorts and tourist attractions, or travel agents, hotels and airlines. If you want to work with people or experience new cultures, our expert lecturers will equip you with the skills you need, such as practical teamwork, customer service, presentation, and problem solving. We also offer a specialist Cabin Crew course.

Entry requirements

Start on this Level 2 course if you have at least three GCSEs at grade 3 (D/E) or above, including English and maths.

If you do not have these grades, we have options for you. You can start on one of our Pathways courses - combined Business, IT and Travel & Tourism. After that you could progress to this Level 2 course.

Work Experience

All students will have the opportunity to undertake 30 hours of work experience, which will provide invaluable links with local employers. You will gain real-world experience at our in-house travel agency, City Travel, serving holidays and trips to staff, students and the general public.

Brighton MET is keen to offer our students work experience placements, particularly with the increasing importance for students to complete placements as part of their study programmes across all industry areas.

This is an exciting opportunity for employers and students alike to gain something valuable with long term benefits for the business and for students.


What's next?

On successful completion of this Level 2 course you may wish to continue your studies at Brighton MET and move on to the BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Travel and Tourism.
