Creative Writing Advanced

Course Type: Adult leisure and hobby, Open to international students Campus: Broadwater Campus

Why this course?

Student writing in purple

Have you written a novel or are serious about wanting to? If so, this workshop-based course is aimed at experienced writers of fiction, who want to develop their skills further.

Each writer will bring their own project to work on (be it a novel, or collection of short stories). It can be at an early stage or later stage, as long as you have a specific fiction project you want to work on.

You will have the opportunity to share your work and have it assessed by the tutor and in class discussion.

The major aspects of fiction will be looked at in detail, including: plotting, characterisation, structure, setting / location, dialogue, and more.

Advice will be offered on routes to getting published. The course will also include a one-to-one session with the tutor for each writer

Tutor: Sue Walker
